Business

Subject Overview

Business Studies provides students with an understanding of the dynamic world of commerce, marketing, and enterprise. The subject combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications, enabling learners to appreciate how businesses operate in real-world contexts.

Curriculum Intent

Our intent is to develop commercially aware and enterprising learners who can think critically, solve problems, and make informed decisions. Students will gain an understanding of key business principles and be able to apply them confidently in professional and everyday situations.

Curriculum Implementation

The curriculum is carefully sequenced to ensure that knowledge and skills build progressively over time. Learning is delivered through a blend of structured lessons, interactive activities, and applied case studies. Regular formative assessments monitor progress and guide improvement, while summative assessments prepare students for external examinations.

Curriculum Impact

Impact is measured through internal assessments, external examination outcomes, and student feedback. Our aim is for every learner to achieve their full potential and leave with the skills and confidence required for further study or employment.
