Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance
Independent and impartial careers education, information, advice and guidance is provided at Langdon Academy to students from Year 7 onwards by qualified careers advisers who are attached to the school from 15Billion (formally Connexions).
Careers and progression appointments can be arranged through our dedicated CEIAG Coordinator, Ms Smilley/ Heads of Year or Form Tutors. Students may also make use of the Lunch time ‘drop in’ session currently held every Tuesday in the IAG Office.
Students have continual access to our up-to-date careers library and online resources for information ranging from Apprenticeships to university. Our Work Related Learning resources, such as CV templates and tips on how to make successful applications and interviews can be found along with other key information for both Key Stage 3 and 4 on our Fronter page.
Though the work we do with our students, 94% stay in education or employment after key stage 4 (destinations).

Information about apprenticeships with links to the National Vacancy Matching Service. When you register you can then browse the available apprenticeships in your chosen area and apply directly online.
