Year 6 Residential Trip 2019

Travel update! 30 minutes away!

Travel update! The children are stopping for a toilet break so should be back at school by 7.30pm.

Travel update!  The M25 has delays on it so they are stuck in traffic so may be after 7pm.

The children are safely of the ferry, packed into the coach, including luggage and now departing Southampton.  The Satnav says just before 7pm arrival at the moment (fingers crossed traffic is on our side!).  I will text you all when the coach is half an hour away.

The children will be getting off the coach in our car park so please make your way to the vehicle entrance on Barking Road and wait in the car park.  You may park your cars there too.

Homeward Bound

The children and all their belongings have made it on to the ferry which departed the Isle of Wight at 2.30pm!  Watch this space for regular updates.  A text will be sent when the children are half an hour away.

Day 3 Activities

The children have been busy this morning with a vertical challenge and abseiling.  They have all been really brave and should be extremely proud of themselves.  Well done year 6!

Wednesday 3rd July 2019

Good morning, after a dinner of meatballs/cottage pie and carrot cake and a disco before bedtime, the children got in another good night's sleep.

Day 2 Activities

The children haven't stopped.  After lunch the activities kept on coming.  They have taken part in Giant Swing, Buggy Building, Trapeze and more problem solving.  A good time has been had by all.

Tuesday 2nd July 2019

Last night the children enjoyed a fish and chip supper and had lots of fun playing team games before heading back to their cabins for a good nights sleep.  This morning they have tackled the Zip wire and the Challenge course.

Day 1 Activities

...and they were off exploring and having fun, from Buggy Building to the Trapeze and Giant Swing, with a bit of problem solving thrown in.  They are all clearly enjoying themselves.  The weather is fabulous and the beach photos could be on a tropical island!  More updates tomorrow.

Lunch on the Beach!

At the Port

The coach arrived at the port an hour early so the children could catch an earlier ferry and get to the camp before lunchtime. They have now made it safe and sound and are getting ready to start their afternoon activities and build up an appetite for dinner.

Monday 1st July 2019

All the children arrived eager and ready to go on their adventure (parents and teachers not quite so ready!)  6.20am finally everyone was off.  Texts will be sent to all parents when the children arrive at the port to catch the ferry to the Isle of Wight and when they arrive at Little Canada.  Photos will be uploaded to the website for parents to see what their children are up to.
